While addressing delegates at the State Credit Seminar 2017-18 overseen by NABARD, Jharkhand State Minister Raghubar Das mentioned that his administration will strive to negate poverty in the region and will also spend the requisite amount needed for the purpose. He mentioned the development of villages as a key approach that would bring in prosperity within the state. He further called for sincerity in the implementation of this strategy to in turn guarantee success at a wider scale.
The CM pointed out to agriculture as a key economic activity that could help negate the poverty concern. He said there was a need to double the domain’s growth rate which is currently at ten percent. He commended NABARD for their efforts in connecting around thirty thousand tribal families to self-help groups and programs.
Raghubar also advocated for cashless transaction (barter trading) to cater for the black market that has brought in corruption plus the lack of transparency in commercial activities.
